Honda leans toward 2 motors for next Civic Hybrid

The two-motor hybrid system that debuted in the new Honda Accord Hybrid is more powerful and fuel efficient than Hondas one-motor system.
by Hans Greimel of www.autonews.com

TOKYO -- Honda Motor Co. has a new and greatly improved one-motor hybrid system for small cars. But engineers for the next Civic are leaning toward the more powerful and fuel-efficient two-motor system that debuted in the mid-sized Accord Hybrid that went on sale last fall.

Honda has not said what kind of gasoline-electric drivetrain the next-generation Civic Hybrid, expected around 2016, will get. But Hiromitsu Ishibashi, chief engineer for the one-motor system at Honda R&D Co., said engineers are considering the two-motor layout.

Honda has doubts about how the one-motor systems dual-clutch transmission will be accepted in America, Ishibashi said on the sidelines of Automotive World, an annual technical conference here. And the two-motor system would deliver better fuel economy.

The newly developed one-motor system, deployed in the Fit hatchback and the Fit-based Vezel subcompact crossover, pairs a 1.5-liter engine with an electric motor with a dual-clutch transmission.

Hybrid versions of both cars already are on sale in Japan, but there are no current plans to bring the gasoline-electric versions to the United States.

The two-motor Accord Hybrid uses a continuously variable transmission.

Customers dont care

"U.S. customers dont care that much about which system [they get], as long as fuel economy and drivability are good," Ishibashi said. "Also, DCTs have not been that well received."

Hondas two-motor system is capable of delivering better fuel economy than the one-motor system because it allows for longer electric-only driving. The Accord Hybrid has a 50-mpg city rating, better than any other mid-sized sedan. The downside: added cost.

Ishibashi said engineers are still evaluating which system would work best in the Civic but added: "My personal guess is it could be two motors."

Honda said in November it will replace step-geared automatic transmissions with CVTs in all automatic Civics starting with this years freshening of the nameplate.

The company has not officially said when a re-engineered hybrid will arrive. The current version uses Hondas Integrated Motor Assist system, a one-motor technology often criticized for falling short in fuel economy and power. It achieves a combined city-highway 44 mpg rating.

Honda has been wrestling with what powertrain to use in the Civic Hybrid, partly to make it a tougher competitor of the Toyota Prius, which gets a combined city-highway 50 mpg rating.

Honda engineers have said in the past that one option might be two types of two-motor systems: a more expensive one for the Accord and a lower-cost version for the Civic.

Gains

Even if Honda goes with a one-motor system, it would still bring gains.

The new one-motor system, dubbed Sport Hybrid Intelligent Dual-Clutch Drive, delivers across-the-board improvements over the outgoing system.

For the redesigned Fit Hybrid that debuted last year in Japan, Honda switched to a lithium ion battery, from a nickel-metal hydride one, boosting energy capacity 50 percent. Power output was more than doubled to 22 kilowatts, from 10. Engineers also made the battery 23 percent smaller and more than doubled the torque to 118 pounds-feet, from 58.

Honda also slashed the weight of the intelligent power unit, which includes the battery, inverter, DC/DC converter and battery control unit, by 40 percent.

The Fit Hybrid also gets a new Atkinsons cycle 1.5-liter engine.

Renault Unveils New 1 6 liter Twin Turbo Diesel with 160 HP

Renault Unveils New 1.6-liter Twin Turbo Diesel with 160 HP
Renault, The automaker has revealed its new 1598cc engine. A brand new 1.6-liter twin-turbo diesel was announced today, producing 160 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Up until this point, most 1.6-liter turbodiesel engines on the market offered somewhere between 90 and 130 hp with up to 300 Nm of torque. The class leader is Opels 136 hp unit from the Astra, followed by the 1.6 dCi 130 from Nissan and Renault.

The twin-turbo system comprises two sequential turbo-compressors:
 •           The first is a very low inertia turbo which provides high low-end torque for crisp pull-away and mid-range acceleration. To guarantee impressive pick-up response at low revs and incisive acceleration, 90% of peak torque is available from 1,500rpm.
•           The second turbo assumes the reins at the higher-end and produces high power (100hp per litre) at faster engine speeds to ensure smooth, linear, dependable acceleration right the way up to maximum revs.
The oil-burner comes equipped with two turbos and this is the reason behind the large power output figures that the company is claiming. In comparison, Audi’s 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine, that powers the A4, Q5, A6 produces 177 BHP of power and 380 Nm of torque. This clearly shows that even though Renault has downsized on the engine capacity, the power output is similar to a 2.0-litre unit.
Renault will plonk this new engine in its D and E segment vehicles that cater to premium segments. These vehicles compete with the likes of the BMW 320d and Audi A4 and going by the specs and fuel efficiency quotes from the company, we feel the automaker will benefit greatly with this new engine and we also hope that they come out with similar engines in lower states of tune to power smaller vehicles.

Suzuki Intruder M1800R

The 1800cc Intruder that Suzuki Motorcycle India has just rolled out is a massive bike. With dimensions similar to a A-star and a price tag in the range of a Toyota Corolla, Suzuki’s Intruder is another biggie to be offered to fanatics with ample money.

intruder-m1800r-1

This gigantic motorcycle certainly has an authoritative presence. It comes with great, low-set headlights that grin under a chrome hat-like mantle and remains on at all times. Traditional turn indicators stick out front and rear, while a digital bar-type rev counter setup on tall stalks looks directly into a rider’s field of vision. A astonishing fact is that other basic instruments including the speedometer sit far below, across the bike’s fat tank, which means the rider’s eyes have to leave the road to take a look at them.

The Intruder comes with a smooth, broad, pulled-back chrome handlebar and attractive, retro-style tinted mirrors. The low-slung cruiser style saddle is wide and has a somewhat taller, still comfy pillion seat just behind. And the tail with its fixed dazzling red brake warning lamp looks chic.

The Intruder has 18-inch rims, with tyres as thick as 240/40 section at the rear. Under-over silencers snake out from the large, four-stroke, 1783cc power plant to add heaps of personality to the motorcycle. The Intruder’s engine bay is totally filled up by its colossal V-twin and liquid cooling system. With a climax power figure of 125bhp at 6200rpm, this big Suzuki excels in delivering all 16.3kgm of torque as low in the power band as 3200rpm. A blip of the Intruder’s throttle is akin to emptying a double-barrel shotgun. It’s the best part of this motorcycle, and the gruff roar of the Intruder’s exhaust rips through the air with magnificent effect. Its engine sounds and pulls with a thump similar to a big single at top speed, and a short stroke (90.5mm) dimension guarantees the revs rise with an enthusiasm contrasting most cruisers with their long-stroke nature.

intruder-m1800r-2

The pillion needs to grab on really tight when the rider presses the pedal hard as a mallet of torque bangs in while drawing out the Intruder’s telescopic forks and push its power down through the low profile rear tyre to the road. It from time to time takes efforts to keep your feet from lifting off the pegs as the monster thunders its way down the road.

The Intruder feels most comfortable on long, straight highways and can glide here smoothly at speeds close to 130kph forever. Its cable-fed clutch works well with a good, progressive feel coming through the lever. But the Suzuki’s five-speed gearbox, often felt notchy during our ride. The shaft drive communicates a straight, motorized feel that needs getting used to for riders who are adjusted to chain drive motorcycles.

You would take time to get used to the Intruder’s riding position. Its footpegs and handlebars need the rider to stretch out, and the seat feels like it is set a little too far behind for comfort.
Ride quality is more taut than soft with straight line steadiness a strong point, thanks to the 1710mm wheelbase. But cornering is a task and the low-slung Intruder grazes its pegs just about too easily, before being pushed down into a bend. But being a cruiser bike, it’s made to cover long distances in style and in a stress-free way.

intruder-m1800r-3

The Intruder stops with excellent poise and comes with dominant brakes, a pair of 310mm discs in front, and a single 275mm disc unit at rear, which pull it to a stop with a encouraging feel.

The large overhead camshaft-driven four-valve per cylinder engine delivers about 15kpl in terms of fuel economy.

Suzuki’s huge Intruder, is a special bike in India. But does that make it a reasonable bike for our market?  It’s difficult to beat for people looking for a bike that’s attention grabbing, lets out the definitive exhaust note mankind can hear in India and with enough money to spend

Chinese brand BYD brings a fleet of pure electric cars to London

BYD, which is bringing its range of pure electric private hire vehicles to Europe, has teamed up with Thriev to provide 20 BYD e6 cars to the company’s emission-free London chauffeur-driven fleet within the next few weeks.

Last month, the Mayor of London announced that from 1 January 2018, all new taxis would have to be zero-emission capable in order to gain an operating licence. Today’s announcement means that the London private hire market is four years ahead of that development.

Thriev (www.thriev.com) offers low-cost, zero-emission, chauffeured cars to corporate and private users in London. The company is rolling out an electric car programme complete with its own rapid chargers, cars and state-of-the-art car/charger scheduling systems. Part of the deal with BYD is that Thriev will equip its facility at Edgware Road, west London, with BYD’s purpose-designed charging equipment, which allows fast charging of the e6 in just two hours.

Initially, the e6 fleet is being supplied on a lease arrangement, although both BYD and Thriev expect this to be the beginning of a long-term relationship that will go some way to fulfilling a joint BYD and Thriev vision of a ‘green city solution’ – the transitioning of key public and personal transport vehicles from petrol and diesel power to pure electric. In December, two fully-electric, full-size buses operated by Go-Ahead Group, entered service on two central Transport for London routes – part of a Europe-wide initiative to introduce emissions-free BYD buses to major city centre operations.

Both the e6 car and ebus from BYD share the same proven and reliable electric technology. They use BYD lithium iron Fe batteries, which have been proven in millions of miles of taxi and bus passenger-carrying service in China as well as many parts of the world.

Commenting on the agreement with Thriev, Isbrand Ho, BYD Europe’s Managing Director, said: “We have been looking at various options to bring our e6 and its proven emissions-free technology to London. We are convinced that in Thriev we have found the right partner to do this – we share many of the same objectives of providing safe, reliable and efficient green transport in cities”.

Arvind Vij, CEO and a co-founder of Thriev said: “We think that BYD’s e6 model meets our requirements to offer passenger comfort, good range and rapid charging. We share BYD’s desire to provide practical, zero-emission solutions and look forward to a long-term partnership.”

Harley Davidson XR1200X

Harley-Davidson is putting more sport in its Sportster line of motorcycles with the release of the 2011 XR1200X. Its progenitor, the 2010 XR1200, has been upgraded with fully-adjustable front and rear Showa suspension and improved front brakes that now feature full floating rotors. The

Adjustable Showa suspension front and back and improved Nissin brakes with full-floating rotors highlight the upgrades to Harleys performance-based Sportster, the 2011 XR1200X.
2011 Harley XR1200X

suspension upgrades will allow riders to dial in the XR1200X depending on their weight, riding style and road conditions. The Nissin dual front brakes with 292mm full-floating rotors and four-piston calipers will help pull the reins on the output of its high-compression, 1200cc Evolution V-Twin.
The Showa Big Piston fork has fewer components than a cartridge-style fork and is therefore lighter. The large diameter of the BPF internal piston is claimed to reduce damping pressure for ‘outstanding feedback and smooth action.’ Rebound and compression damping can be honed in via adjuster screws on the top of the fork bolts.
The rear suspension set-up features 36mm pistons with piggy-back nitrogen-charged reservoirs and compression damping can be adjusted by a knob on the top of the reservoir. Rebound can by dialed in by a thumb wheel on the lower clevis, and both front and back are adjustable for spring pre-load.
At the heart of the XR1200X is an isolation-mounted XL Evolution 1200cc V-Twin with high-performance camshafts, precision oil-cooled cylinder heads and large-capacity oil cooler. It boasts a 10:1 compression ratio and puts out a claimed 74 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. Harley has blacked-out the engine to complement the aggressive nature of its performance-oriented Sportster.
The XR1200X’s tank and tail section will continue to carry styling traits inspired by Harley’s legendary flat-tracker, the XR750, with the tank sporting revised graphics. Wide flat-track style bars and rearset footpegs contribute to its racing stance. It also features lightweight three-spoke cast-aluminum wheels with a gloss black finish and a new orange pinstripe on the rim. It will be offered in either Black Denim or White Hot Denim and has an MSRP of $11,799.
The XR1200 initially was only offered overseas until public demand helped bring it here to the States. In conjunction with introduction of the XR1200 to the American market, a new race series to support the platform kicks off this weekend. The AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Series starts today at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Motorcycle USA’s resident speed demon, Steve Atlas, is in Wisconsin right now and is getting an opportunity to turn laps at Road America on the race-bred XR1200, so stay tuned for a full report in the coming weeks.

Key XR1200X Features -
Showa Big Piston Front fork (BPF) eliminates many of the internal components used in a cartridge-type fork, resulting in lighter overall fork weight. The large-diameter of the BPF internal piston allows a reduction in damping pressure for outstanding feedback and smooth action. Rebound and compression damping may be fine tuned with adjuster screws located on top of the fork bolts. The spring pre-load is adjusted with a M5 hex screw on the axle holders.
Showa rear shocks feature 36mm pistons with piggy-back nitrogen charged reservoirs. The compression damping may be adjusted with a knob on top of the reservoir. Rebound is adjusted with a thumb wheel on the lower clevis. Rear spring pre-load is also adjustable.

Nissin dual front brakes feature 292mm full-floating rotors and four-piston calipers.
Isolation-mounted XL Evolution 1200 cc V-Twin engine with black powdercoat finish features downdraft Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), high-performance camshafts, precision oil-cooled cylinder heads and a large-capacity oil cooler. Compression ratio is 10:1. The engine is rated at 74 ft. lbs. peak torque @ 4000 rpm (per SAE J1349).

Upswept, high-volume 2-1-2 straight-shot exhaust system with satin black finish offers extra cornering clearance.
Chassis features a high-performance designed tubular mild steel frame. The rigid, cast-aluminum swingarm is engineered to enhance handling.
Dunlop Qualifier D209 tires were designed specifically for the XR1200X.
Three-spoke lightweight cast-aluminum wheels, 18-inch front / 17-inch rear, are finished in gloss black with an orange pinstripe on the rim.

Wide, black dirt-track handlebar for enhanced steering leverage and comfort.
Rearset foot pegs for additional cornering clearance.
Compact instrument display with white-faced analog tachometer, digital speedometer, dual trip meter and clock.
3.5-gallon fuel tank with aircraft-style aluminum alloy fuel filler.
29.2-inch seat height with standard passenger pillion and foot pegs.
Optional Harley-Davidson Smart Security System.

  • XK Signature is priced at £54,950 with XK Dynamic R on sale at £69,950 on-the-road

The first Jaguar car to be created under the leadership of Design Director Ian Callum, the dramatic and purposeful XK, is receiving a number of additions for the 2015 model year that add to its palette of impressive performance technologies and luxury features.

Two special edition models will be available in exclusive Signature and Dynamic R specifications. The 2015 Model Year XK line-up now comprises Signature, Dynamic R and R-S derivatives.

The luxury focused XK Signature model – with a 385PS 5.0-litre V8 engine – is fitted with a host of additional features including standard 20” Kalimnos wheels and Reverse Park Camera, while the performance focused 510PS 5.0-litre supercharged XK Dynamic R – based on the existing XKR – offers Black Dynamic Pack, which incorporates XKR-S suspension and dynamics and a 10mm reduction in ride height, plus Speed Pack, which equips the car with an Aerodynamic Pack and an increased top speed of 174mph. A Performance Active Exhaust is also standard equipment.

First deliveries to UK customers of the new XK Signature and Dynamic R editions are expected in March.

XK POWERTRAIN AND DYNAMICS

Jaguar sports cars have a reputation for blending athletic high-performance with effortless cruising comfort. Nothing exemplifies this dual character more clearly than the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine fitted to both XK special edition cars.

Now in its third generation, this engine offers not only tremendous power but also great efficiency by incorporating the very latest technology including spray-guided direct injection (SGDI) and dual independent variable cam timing (DIVCT). Like the car itself, the engine is constructed from high-grade, lightweight aluminum, which in the cylinder heads is recycled to reduce the environmental impact of manufacture.

The XK Signature can reach 60 mph in 5.2 seconds in CoupĂ© guise, and 5.3 seconds for the Convertible, each car producing a meaty 515Nm of torque. The top speed for both variants is electronically limited to 155mph and both cars produce just 264 g/km of CO2. The XK Dynamic R’s 5.0-litre supercharged V8, offers power and torque figures of 510PS and 625Nm respectively, taking the car to 60mph in just 4.6 seconds with a limited top speed of 174mph. Extremely powerful but also efficient, the XK Dynamic R emits 292g/km of CO2.

Both XK Dynamic R and Signature models are fitted with a six-speed ZF automatic gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddles, which control the Jaguar Sequential Shift function for greater driver control.

The supercharged XK Dynamic R edition also benefits from Jaguars Active Differential Control technology. This uses a multiplate clutch to vector torque to the driven wheel with the most grip. Allied to ABS and stability control, this allows for the ultimate in traction and precision both mid-corner and at its exit. The XK Signature model uses a mechanical differential, which delivers outstanding levels of grip and stability under power.

Both cars feature Dynamic Stability Control system, which offers four modes: Normal, Winter, TracDSC and DSC Off, allowing the enthusiastic driver to choose the level of intervention dependent on road conditions.

The double wishbone front suspension on both cars features a fully-machined steering knuckle which significantly increases camber and castor stiffness by 0.13 degrees per kilo newton, to transform the accuracy and weighting of the steering for greater levels of connection, feedback and precision. Rear suspension geometry benefits from rear wheel steer - optimised for maximum agility.

The XK Dynamic R features as standard the Black Dynamic Pack – incorporating suspension technology from the XKR-S – which adds a stiffer knuckle for improved steering precision, uprated spring and damper settings and Jaguar’s Adaptive Dynamics system, which performs three main functions; controlling vertical body movement, roll and pitch rates. One hundred times every second, Adaptive Dynamics analyses the thousands of inputs and variables which determine ride and handling characteristics. Additionally, the XK Dynamic R’s ride height is lowered by 10mm, giving the car more of an assertive presence on the road. The Dynamic R also comes as standard with Speed Pack, which increases the maximum speed from 155mph to an electronically limited 174mph. In addition to the increased maximum speed, the pack also includes a body-coloured Aerodynamic Pack with front splitter and larger rear spoiler, as well as a body-coloured rear diffuser and side sill extensions. A Performance Active Exhaust is also fitted as standard.

INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DETAILS

Standard on the XK Signature are Luxury seats available in Ivory or Charcoal soft grain leather. The interior also features Canvas Suedecloth headlining, Figured Ebony veneers and Bright Metal sport pedals.

The XK Dynamic R boasts Jaguar’s new diamond sewn Performance seat in either Ivory/Charcoal soft grain leather with Ivory contrast stitch or Charcoal/Red soft grain leather with Red contrast stitch leather. Featuring integrated head restraints and increased lateral and squab support, the new seats hold driver and passenger securely and comfortably in place. The 16-way adjustment of squab, cushion, lumbar and bolster elements is supplemented by memory and heating functions. The interior Jet Suedecloth headliner is complemented with Piano Black veneers. Bright Metal sport pedals are also fitted as standard.

The central seven-inch touch-screen provides an intuitive interface for the extensive technology that is seamlessly incorporated into the XK, including iPod and USB connectivity and satellite navigation with DVD mapping. The central screen also projects the image from the new Reverse Park Camera, which is fitted as standard to both special edition cars.

The XK Signature comes with 20’’ Kalimnos wheels as standard, with 20” Takoba wheels available as an option, while the XK Dynamic R has 20” Vortex diamond turned wheels – with distinctive Red painted brake calipers – and the option of 20” Vulcan Gloss Black lightweight alloys.

Both the XK Signature and Dynamic R editions are available with a choice of exterior body colours – Polaris White, Ultimate Black, Stratus Grey, Italian Racing Red, Dark Sapphire and British Racing Green.

Track Test Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200

Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 For Sale
Short Track Test at Pannoniaring with supermoto enduro Hybrid made by Aprilia.

Hybrids are usually robust and loyal companions. You may not have the look of a dog breed, but often combine the positive attributes of several breeds in a creature. The Dorsoduro 1200 is also such a hybrid. And unlike most mutts she even looks good.

In our 1000PS Bridgestone Grip Party at Pannoniaring brought Aprilia Austria crew with a few test vehicles. The Dorsoduro 1200 formed a knowledge gap in my motorcycle know-how and I immediately picked up the part for a test drive. Aprilia man "Hengsti" Hengstberger told me shortly before the great "ZZ" full insurance. ZZ stands for "zsamhaun pay" what the ambition in the saddle but could not diminish.

Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 Test Drive

After the first few meters, it became clear that the great 1200s can not be pressed into a drawer. The engine reminds while passing though a travel enduro, however, depends on the gas a little more aggressive than the aggregate of the touring bikes. The seating position is indeed comfortable, but also more agile than in the saddle of a Bigenduro. Somehow because less motorcycle is the front of the cockpit, in the casing and also in the controls than in the case of a GS or Caponord. On the other hand, the Dorsoduro 1200 but offers a pretty full service: ..........

On the track I put the bike the bar high. They could be compared with motorcycles to travel easily, as a yardstick rather should serve naked bikes. At the beginning I did not catch me at the hard corner entry. This was less tire or on the geometry but rather on the dosage of the voluminous engine. When accelerating, the bike depends only on the clean gas, but when coasting or applying light pressure at the engine makes the occasional stutter which the line messed up a little. But over time I learned to understand the V2 better and managed to savor the benefits of corner exit. The accelerated portion of the corners on virtually Supersport level and some stooping had their hands full with the Dorsoduro. Actually logical - the 1200 CC are not there only to bring to the tax office lush Taxes.

Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 Photo

For enduro good enough for a supermoto or a sporty bike but a little too bland to me personally was the front brake. The rear shock absorber at the beginning I was also too soft, but with a few clicks I was able to lie down as a nice setup. On the road, this bike is designed from a really good Kurvenwetzer. But my feeling is that most motorcycle riders here in the German-speaking countries but are more into biederere goods as this hip trip Supermoto. Sure it has practical drawbacks in terms of wind protection, storage space and comfort but on the other hand it makes it even more fun here at the track as a travel steamer.

Annoying and the good overall impression something inappropriate was the circuit. On the track, I was able to still live well, but to find the idling in the pit lane resembled sometimes the search for a needle in a haystack. On the highway, we now need to move soon to schedule a new test. Multistrada vs. SMT vs.. Dorsoduro. Is a fierce duel and Hengstis "ZZ" may then insurance comes into play there.

Extreme, powerful and exhilarating like nothing else in its class, the new Dorsoduro 1200 simply represents the best that a maximotard has to offer a rider in terms of performance, precision and excitement.

Please take a look at the 1-year chart of UNH (Unitedhealth Group, Inc.) below with my added notations:
1-year chart of UNH (Unitedhealth Group, Inc.)
UNH trended consistently higher from the beginning of the year until September. Since then, the stock seems to have formed an inverse head and shoulders pattern (blue). I have noted the head (H) and the shoulders (s) to make the pattern more visible. UNH’s neckline resistance is at the $75 level (red). The stock would confirm the pattern by breaking up through the $75 neckline and should move higher overall from there.
Lastly, keep in mind that simple is usually better. Had I never pointed out this inverse H&S pattern, one would still think this stock is moving higher simply if it broke through the $75 resistance level. In short, whether you noticed the pattern or not, the trade would still be the same: On the break above the key $75 level.

The Tale of the Tape: UNH has formed an inverse head & shoulders pattern. A long trade could be entered on a break above the $75 level with a stop placed under that level.

Mahindra XUV 500 Price and Ground Clearance Reduced

Government had announced In the Union Budget that SUVs which have engine capacity more than 1500cc and Ground Clearance above 170mm will get additional excise duty of 3%. This has made most of the SUV makers to go back to drawing board. Mahindra have a SUV packed portfolio and this has affected.

In order to get away from the additional excise duty Mahindra is all set to introduce XUV 500 with 160mm ground clearance before it was 200 mm. Mahindra has also give stone guard to protect the engine underside and has also tweaked the electronics, brakes and clutch to cope with the lower ground clearance. With the Tax undercut Base variant of XUV 500 is cheaper by 27,000 RS and the top end W8 by RS 33,000.

Mahindra is also working on how to under cut the extra for other SUVs also. Mahindra is developing a new smaller engine for the bolero. But it will at least take 18 months to hit the product. This will help Bolero to under the cut the tax. Mahindra will reduce the ground clearance of Scorpio to get the tax benefits. Tata will also the same formula for there SUVs and MUVs to under cut the extra tax.

How to Remove Swirl Marks on Paint with Jax Wax Swirl Remover and a Flex Random Orbital Polisher

Click on the Video below:

How to Remove Swirl Marks on Paint with Jax Wax Swirl Remover and a Flex Random Orbital Polisher

Swirl Marks are really fine scratches, especially noticeable on black or dark colored paint finishes. There are only two ways to reduce their appearance:

1.)  Fill them in with a product, but as the product wears off, they are still there.
or
2.)  The best way,  polish them out and remove them.

Jax Wax Swirl Remover can be used either way.

In this video, Jax Wax Swirl Remover is used with a Flex Orbital Polisher to remove swirls without damaging the finish. Using an orbital polisher/buffer reduces the chances of harming the finish and enables even a novice to safely produce a professional finish free of swirls and holograms producing a mirror-like finish.

Jax Wax Swirl Remover is also a premium grade carnauba wax, combining polishing and waxing into one step, cutting your time in half.

Jax Wax Swirl Remover works excellent to remove Water Spots that are "etched" into your finish and even on glass surfaces.

Other than leaving a brilliant high gloss, Jax Wax Swirl Remover provides superior protection and durability, and is safe for all multi-stage and clear coat finishes, chrome and glass surfaces. Jax Wax Swirl Remover works equally well when applying by hand or with a buffer.

Now you can get fast, commercial-quality results by using the same products the "pros" do - and by doing it yourself!

The Brilliant Bus

Courtesy of the Palm Beach Post

Well this is something different.  We have a bus.  What’s so special about a bus?  This bus is a unique creation by retired Estella Pyfrom.  So a retired woman purchased a bus; what’s the big deal?  Well, how are you reading this: your phone, your computer, or a tablet, right?  This is something many people, especially children, do not have access to.  A simple desktop computer is something that a lot of us take for granted.

Estella Pyfrom realized this and with her retirement money spent an initial $450,000 on “Miss Estella’s Brilliant Bus”.  The bus was fitted with 17 computers loaded with educational software.  The bus tours around the Palm Beach area in Florida, allowing children without access to a computer get their hands on one.

She does have certain rules like no gum and no going on Facebook.  She has the stations set up to follow state mandated curriculums.  Children are only allow to progress to the next level of education on her bus if they get a 90% or higher on each level.  Now those are some standards!

She does not just cater toward children though.  She also aids the parents of the children with helping them with writing a resume, finding affordable housing, and searching for jobs.  If that’s not enough, Pyfrom has also partnered with a nonprofit organization in the community to help provide meals to 3,000 residents each month!

Estella Pvfrom Courtesy of the Palm Beach Post

The total running cost is reaching almost 1 million dollars to maintain and modify the bus.  However, Pyfrom is not looking for an easy retirement.

"Im not tired yet. And I dont think Im going to get tired," she said.  "Im constantly charged up.  I look at the faces of the children and I get energized."

Now that’s a pretty bold statement; one that I can personally respect.  So many people are in a rush to help the children in Africa and other less fortunate areas, and while I will say there is nothing wrong with that, charity and goodwill should start from home.  There are millions of families here in the United States that can use our help.  Estella Pyfrom is helping with this amazing idea.
